3D Set Design

I took the creative lead on designing and hand crafting decorations and set pieces for a Sri Lankan themed garden wedding party. The event took place under a canopy cover for which I created a backdrop of 3D painted animals and foliage to stand out among the leafy surroundings and frame the all important wedding cake. The pieces were inspired by Sri Lankan wildlife and were hand cut from salvaged cardboard before being hand painted. Each piece was backed so it could either be stood in the ground or hung from the tent, giving flexibility to the composition of the set.
