Woodland Rhythms Festival Identity

Poster and accompanying assets for an imagined festival called ‘Woodland Rhythms’ taking place in a secret British forest location.

The visualisation of rhythms in both sound and nature bring the design together to create an identity that draws on folklore, UK rave culture and our relationship with nature. Bold, graphic patterns rain down on mysterious figures who are seemingly possessed by the rhythms of the forest. Neon greens and oranges blend into darker hues, suggesting a transition from day to night and reveal hidden creatures. Hand-cut type heads up the design, rounding off the analogue collage look of the overall identity.

None of the artists listed on the line-up bear any association with this imagined festival, but they did provide excellent listening during the design process.
