Spirit of Adventure: London Triptych

I was commissioned to create 48 artworks for the Saga cruise liner, ‘Spirit of Adventure’. The overarching theme for the art on board is a celebration of the British Isles and the ship contains bespoke pieces from British artists throughout. My illustrations were printed as fine art Giclee prints and are designed to hang in sets of 16 triptychs to line the cabin corridors of a complete deck.

The London triptych takes the viewer on a journey from West London, through Central and across to East. The illustrations follow the path of the Thames and feature iconic London architecture such as: Battersea Power Station, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge and the Barbican towers. The city’s most common tree, the London Plane, frames the triptych and other urban wildlife appears throughout.
